She started life as a brief concept of 'what if we did ('Davey Jones' the mythical/legendary sea creature) as an anime waifu. Mixing in elements from various sea creatures like the pistol shrimp claw and the tiger shark pattern.
She's had a few iterations and is an ongoing project that will likely get updates again in time.
